When it comes to towing, the D-MAX has you covered. The renowned Isuzu turbo-diesel engines were built for heavy demands – the 3.0L producing 450Nm and the 2.2L offering 400Nm of torque. Coupled with a 6-speed auto for the 3.0L models, or an 8-speed auto for the 2.2L models, the D-MAX makes shifting heavy loads look easy.

The Isuzu RZ4F-TC 2.2L turbo-diesel engine is engineered for drivers who demand efficiency and performance without compromise. Built with Isuzu’s trademark durability, it delivers greater efficiency while boosting performance, with dynamic acceleration off the line and confident power at highway speeds that inspires peace of mind on every drive.
The advanced 3.0 litre turbo-diesel engine produces 140kW and an avalanche of torque on demand, with 450Nm available from just 1,600 through to 2,600rpm. This provides exceptional take-off and acceleration with a broad, flat torque band aiding overall drive-ability - also perfect for when carrying a load, or towing up to 3.5T+.

The D-MAX incorporates numerous safety features designed to help prevent incidents and make towing your trailer, boat or caravan easy.
Having the right tyre pressure is essential when towing. The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) constantly monitors and reports individual tyre pressures and temperatures. When refilling your tyres, the vehicle will conveniently alert you once the correct pressure has been reached. (Standard on LS-U, LS-U+, X-TERRAIN & BLADE models)
Experience higher image quality and a brighter view with the D-MAX's improved digital reversing camera. Hydrophobic coating prevents water and dirt from obscuring vision, and a wide horizontal and vertical field of view ensures a clear picture of your surroundings. The reversing camera's dynamic guidelines and exclusive zones makes it easy to navigate tricky parking situations with confidence.
TSC will apply brakes to individual vehicle wheels to help bring the trailer safely back under control.
ESC kicks-in when under or oversteering occurs and helps restore control.
